    Shocking shovels

    I ordered size 5 for a 6-year-old and size 6 for an 8-year-old. The mittens are shockingly large. Size 5 fits my adult woman's hand, and size 6 fits the children's father's hand. They are very wide and look really big.

    Not durable, poor warranty

    These mittens fell apart after a couple months of daily use at outdoor preschool. The reflective tape and the palm texturing peeled off, and the seams started to come apart. When I reached out to customer service, they described the issue as "normal water and tear," which is ridiculous. Our child is in outdoor preschool 4 afternoons a week in a mild but wet climate. Gear should last more than 50 uses.

    Roomy & Warm

    We just had our first opportunity to test these mittens, and they did not disappoint. At first, my little (2yo) was not keen on wearing them because they were so big, but he quickly realized they kept his hands toasty while playing in the snow. I also like that he will probably be able to wear those for two more years, and they stay on.

    Good quality and warm

    These are great quality just like every other Reima brand item we own. They do run large. The only issue is that these don't stay on our children very well since there's no way to tighten the wrist or cuff elastics. We have the 1-2y and 2-4y sizes for our 1 year old and 3 year old daughters. We love the wool lining but definitely a design flaw not to be able to cinch them onto their arms. If you add a cinch at both the wrist and the cuff these would be absolutely foolproof.

    Cozy

    Lining is very cozy & warm, even in below freezing temps. The cuffs are long and great for keeping snow out of sleeves. The sizing runs very large! I would not recommend sizing up, even if you're looking to make them last for your kiddo.

    Good buy

    I really like these for my son snowboarding the only reason I give 4 star is because there is no zipper like the others which would make it easier to put the hand in. I wanted these because they are the only ones with real wool lining and we are a natural materials family so much preferred over the poly lining of the others . I like how high up the arm the mittens go and they will easily fit over a jacket/ snow suit
