Awesome and interesting 2-in-1 jacket for boys is made of fabric that stores heat with the help of ground coffee. Ground coffee is carbonized at a very high temperature and pulverized into microscopic particles that have a honeycomb structure. When these are spun into polyester, they form tiny holes in the fibers that store heat. New coffee bean shimmer fabric together with down insulation provide warmth to children outdoors. The hood and sleeves can be removed, so you can easily turn the jacket into a vest - multifunctional, right? Straight cut.
The Beringer & Heiberg coffee bean jackets have are also now award-winning jackets as they've recently won the
National Parenting Product Award (NAPPA).

Breathability level is meant to measure fabrics that are functional: meaning they keep water out, yet allow moisture to be transferred to outer layers. Breathability can be measured by different standards. Breathability is measured in grams per square meter per day, or g/m2/24h. We use our own method to determine the breathability of our products, which is comparable to the ISO 15496 standard.
Breathability of at least 3,000 g/m2/24h:
The product is suitable for everyday outings and light rain.
Breathability of at least 5,000 g/m2/24h:
The product is suitable for playing outside.
Breathability of at least 7,000 g/m2/24h:
The product is best for active kids / playing sports.

The degrees of warmth level thermal markings are indicative. They have been prepared to keep in mind that underneath the shell layer, mid-and base layers will be worn according to the weather - the colder it is, the more warm layers will be chosen. An average time spent outdoors with this guidance is approximately an hour. If you plan to do sports/play actively, choose lighter mid-layer clothing and/or lighter outerwear.

All Reima fabrics or products marked with drop symbols are waterproof. The waterproof level is indicated with water columns which tell how much water pressure the fabric endures in thickness before water begins to pass its surface. The thickness of the water mass/pressure is stated in mm.
Water column over 3,000 mm:
Protects against light rain or heavy rain for a short amount of time.
Water column over 5,000 mm:
Protects against heavy rain. Will stay dry unless sitting in the rain
Water column over 8,000 mm:
Is suitable for both heavy rain but also sitting in the rain.
Water column over 10,000 mm:
For extreme conditions. Protects in active outings in wet surroundings and in heavy rain, all-day. Extremely waterproof

The website recommends to size down in this jacket. I wish I would have gone one size up, as we will only get one season out of this jacket—it runs small. Other than the sizing, I have no complaints. Very warm and great quality.
Must have but size up
As other reviewer mentioned, this jacket runs a bit small. Got size 12 for 10 3/4 yo. Not sure it will fit next winter.
But, it’s lightweight and very warm. When zipped all the way up, doesn’t bother the chin. The hood hugs the head perfectly. Very good quality. Looks durable, expensive. My son’s favorite jacket since he tried it on the first time.

Perfect jacket for my son. Very true to size, if anything I should've sized up. Very great quality and well made material. Would definitely recommend.
