We know small changes everything. That’s why we’ve spent 75 years future-proofing the next generations ready for the world to come. We do this by creating award-winning kidswear, products & services that will keep our children and our planet safe.
From our material innovations to our recycling initiatives, we put responsibility into every step of our process. We’re proudly Finnish, and our Nordic know-how inspires us to give the benefits of an active childhood to all. It’s the countless little things we do that make a difference, proving our commitment to innovating children’s playtime forever.
So, next time you think small can’t make a difference, ask yourself what will small change next?
Reima’s story begins in 1944 in the small town of Kankaanpää, Finland. During the end of the war, Helsinki was under threat from air attacks, so the army moved their clothing manufacturing to our unknown hometown. This little step was the start of a big adventure.
After the war, there was a shortage of materials, so we wondered, could we make workwear out of old army snowsuits? We started recycling war products to create safe, functional and comfortable clothing. And we’ve never stopped researching and developing our ideas since.
All our products are developed in Finland and manufactured by our friends in Asia. Every part of our process is responsible, find out more here.
And because we’re always exploring, discovering and asking, where next? Reima is now sold in 70 countries across the world. From our bespoke stores to carefully selected retailer partners and the much loved Finnish Baby Box. We also have online shops in Europe, Canada and the US.
Because we’re growing too, our head office is now situated in the bigger Finnish town of Vantaa. To help us think of every little detail along the way, we employ almost 500 people around the world. And together, we strive to make Finland proud.
