These kids' mittens are Reima classics. Completely water- and windproof. Warm, breathable, and stretchy. For the same product in gloves, see the Tartu.
These flexible and breathable Reimatec kids' mittens are best-sellers! They're lined with super lightweight, extra-warm PrimaLoft® insulation and are made from a windproof material with a waterproof Hipora insert to keep little ones' fingers warm and dry in all weather conditions! The warm fleece lining feels comfortable and cozy against the skin.
The reinforcements on the palms, thumbs, and fingers mean kids can get a good grip on whatever they're holding (and definitely help with making snowballs)! Reflective details are part of the package, too. While the material is sturdy and dirt-repellent, these easy-care kids' winter mittens can also be tumble-dried. They come in a range of colors as well.

Breathability level is meant to measure fabrics that are functional: meaning they keep water out, yet allow moisture to be transferred to outer layers. Breathability can be measured by different standards. Breathability is measured in grams per square meter per day, or g/m2/24h. We use our own method to determine the breathability of our products, which is comparable to the ISO 15496 standard.
Breathability of at least 3,000 g/m2/24h:
The product is suitable for everyday outings and light rain.
Breathability of at least 5,000 g/m2/24h:
The product is suitable for playing outside.
Breathability of at least 7,000 g/m2/24h:
The product is best for active kids / playing sports.
Breathability at least 7000 g/m2/24 h
Reima measures durability with a hardcore Martindale test where abrasion resistance of fabrics is tested with sand paper. Our indicated figures are not comparable with the ones of upholstery fabric testing, as they are resulted by using a woolen cloth, not sand paper. For each product we choose the best suitable and durable fabric, according to the purpose of use. Particularly durable fabrics are given a separate arrow symbol with the Martindale test value. If a product does not have this symbol, the durability measured with Martindale is less than 30 000 cycles, and possible test result indicated in the material information.
Abrasion resistance over 30 000 cycles Martindale:
Very good durability, suitable for casual pants and durable jackets.
Abrasion resistance over 50 000 cycles Martindale:
Excellent durability, suitable for pants and lower parts of overalls.
Abrasion resistance over 80 000 cycles Martindale:
Extremely durable fabric, usually used as reinforcement material and in our most durable pants.
Durability over 50000 cycles Martindale
The degrees of warmth level thermal markings are indicative. They have been prepared keeping in mind that underneath the shell layer, mid- and base layers will be worn according to the weather - the colder it is, the more warm layers will be chosen. An average time spent outdoors with this guidance is approximately an hour. If you plan to do sports / play actively, choose lighter mid-layer clothing and/or lighter outerwear.
shell/mid-season product, no insulation.
light wadding, fleece or light down.
warm waddign or warm down.
extremely warm wadding, pearl wadding or fluffy down.
Temperatures ca. 20 to -20 °F
All Reima fabrics or products marked with drop symbols are waterproof. The waterproof level is indicated with water columns which tell how much water pressure the fabric endures in thickness, before water begins to pass its surface. The thickness of the water mass / pressure is stated in mm.
Water column over 3 000 mm:
Protects against rain for some time.
Water column over 5 000 mm:
Protects against heavy rain, too.
Water column over 8 000 mm:
Is suitable for both heavy rain but also sitting on wet.
Water column over 12 000 mm:
For extreme conditions. Protects in active outings in wet surroundings and in heavy rain, all-day.
Water column at least 12000 mm

Very happy with purchase
Great quality mittens, my kids love them and best of all....easy to put on! Contrary to some things I had read I find them true to size. But I do have kids on the big-ish side.

Purchased as a gift for 6 yr. old grandson. Quality is excellent and our boy loves them.
Keeps his hands dry and cozy
Our son loves them and after playing in wet snow for the afternoon the inside was still dry.
Warm. Waterproof. Great for frigid Wyoming skiing. Kids can put on and off by themselves because of generous, large, easy cuff. ‘Nuf said!!
Kids Winter Mittens
These are really nice winter mittens - high quality materials that keep kids hands warm and dry in very cold weather. They’re quite thick so they’re best used on the coldest days or for outdoor snowy activities. They’re more expensive than the cheapie ones you can get on amazon so make sure you put your child’s name on them and consider glove clips for little one’s coats so they don’t get lost. But you appreciate quality and are looking for something that holds up to harsh weather and abuse so that doesn’t matter - otherwise you’d buy those cheap ones! It hasn’t snowed where we live yet so we’re waiting to try them out but these seem just as good as the Polarn O Pyret winter gloves I usually buy my son so I’m expecting to be happy with these.

the best mittens
Hands down the best mittens we have ever found! Bonus, they have some lightly lined spring ones for chilly days exploring in the rain, at the beach etc. They are equally as epic!
