Reima wins field test of snowsuits in denmark and norway
Reimatec Stavanger snowsuit was chosen Best in Test for the Danish and Norwegian markets by the independent Swedish Bäst-i-Test.se testing site. This victory was second for the Stavanger snowsuit style, the first having been received in 2018.
The Bäst i Test jury consisted of families and children testing 12 different brands’ waterproof snowsuit styles that are available on the Nordic markets in autumn/winter 2020. The testers gave Stavanger a score of 4,5 out of a maximum 5 and praised the suit using, among others, the following statements “An incredibly functional and durable snowsuit with a long life and flexible fit… Kids who used Reima Stavanger soon took it as their favourite…. When durability and performance are concerned, Reima Stavanger is truly worth its price.”
Reima’s CEO Elina Björklund comments the victory: “We were very happy and satisfied when we received the news about our victory, as we believe this snowsuit is among the best money can buy. Especially for environmentally conscious families who wish to hand kids’ clothes down to the next user, Stavanger is a wise choice. I am sure that in the end, when considering the entire life cycle of a garment, Stavanger as our most durable classic snowsuit will prove to deliver the most value for the money – it’s a long-term investment in quality, ease and comfort.”
Reimatec Stavanger snowsuit, available in sizes 92-140 cm, is already in stores and new colour options will be launched during August 2020.
The Reimatec Stavanger snowsuit has been part of Reima’s offering for several seasons and can already be considered a best-selling classic style.
Extremely durable fabric
The long-lasting Reimatec Duraplus material boasts a water pillar of > 12 000 mm, excellent breathability and a PFC free durable water repellent finish. The abrasion resistance of the fabric has been measured using the Martindale standard test with sandpaper, resulting in an amazing 80 000 cycles. This means the suit can last at least two times longer than the average kids’ outerwear. Yet the fabric is flexible, and the entire suit is comfortably light in use.
Top notch construction
The seams are taped for maximum protection against water, and the durable, detachable silicone foot loops help keep the leg ends in place during busy play. The faux fur trim on the hood is decorative and has a function, too: it retains warm air around the face, helping kids avoid frost bites. For a less wintery look, the trim can be removed. The hood is attached with snaps and will easily come off, should it get caught on something – an important safety feature common to all durable Reima outerwear.
